I got my new chair! We've been waiting for it for two months, so we were very excited! It's fully supportive and the tray is great. I can use my hands and explore things on the tray. Tonight, I wanted some help, so I could feed myself. The tray helps with that, because I have my arms in the right position. This chair cost almost $9000, but I needed it. It can be used as a high chair, for when I'm eating. It can be lowered, so I can be sitting close to the ground. When I go to pre-school, I will be able to use this chair, and be close to the other kids. It's very comfortable and very supportive, which is what I need. I really like it! |
We were able to privately pay for this, chair because of some very special people. The Minnamurra Lions Club, with their Christmas raffle, donated $5,500. The beautiful Clarke family, with their Christmas lights fundraising, raised ~$2000. And then, to cover the extra ~$1500, we used lots of different money. Lots of people have given us donations over the last year. Mum keeps it all in my bank account. Because of all my beautiful friends who have given us money, I got my chair much, much faster than if I had to wait for funding. Thank you, everyone! If you gave me $10, or $50 or $200... you helped me buy this chair! |
(Every dollar given to Dexter is spent on Dexter)
The chair is a MYGO Leckey chair.
If we had a million bucks, we'd buy so much from them!
Our next big product to buy, will be the Leckey toilet/shower seat.
