I like being 6!
I had so much fun celebrating with all my friends. I was so lucky because I got to have two cakes!! Thank you to everyone who came and for all my presents.
My friends helped me open them.
We had a treasure hunt and found lots of lollies for our lolly bags.
We had a Batman pinata, which we loved bashing with a stick. Mum kept the other kids right back, because my friends and I were really strong with the stick.
We were at a park and my friends all played there. I went on the slide, too.
We had a sausage sandwich and some drinks.
There were lollies, popcorn and fruit, too.
We did some face painting, which doesn't want to wash off!
Mum and Dad were so proud of my friends. Everyone had such great manners. No one pushed or shoved or grabbed for the lollies. There were so many please and thank yous. We had some games we could have played, but the kids didn't need to be 'entertained'. Everyone played beautifully. There were no tears and everyone put their rubbish in the right place.
Mum and Dad loved how comfortable my friends were, around me. They realised how much my friends see me, Dexter. My friends don't care about my wheelchair or my disabilities. My friends like me, because I'm Dexter. That made Mum and Dad very happy and very proud.
It was a fun, relaxed party and I had a great time.
Mum asked me who I wanted to invite to my party. I decided to ask my whole class.
I'm pretty sure we will be talking about it on Monday!
Thanks for coming!
Thanks to everyone who has wished me a happy birthday!
Love, Dexter
They thought it was like makeup!
My friends, Sands, made the BatDex cake. Thank you!
This one does, too!
