This video was taken at the end of dessert and I had been doing this a lot during dinner, so I'm a little tired and full... But, I'm still proud of myself!
Aunty Carol was holding my wrist, but I was taking the spoon to my mouth!
Yesterday, Aunty Carol was holding my fingers, but I was stronger today, and needed less help! Soon, if I keep getting better, she can hold my elbow, and then... I can really do it all by myself!
There is a lot to rememeber, when you feed yourself!
I like to put the spoon in the dish, and get the food on it. I need help with this.
Next, I have to hold the spoon, tightly. If I am not strong enough, I will drop it.
Then, I have to raise my hand and keep my head still, so I can find my mouth.
Then, and this is the scary bit because I have hurt myself doing this bit, I have to put the spoon in my mouth, and get the food from it. And, I have to remember to take the spoon back out!
Today was the first day I really put the spoon in my mouth!
When Daddy came home, I had almost finished dessert, but he stood next to me and watched me, and I was so proud! This video was taken after that.
It took me a very long time to eat dinner, tonight! My sisters both ate, bathed, dressed and were playing, while I was eating.
But, if I keep trying, I will get better and better and faster and faster.
Today was a great day!
