Today we went to an NDIS launch event. The NDIS is being rolled out in our area, but unfortunately, they aren't focusing on under 7s yet...
Hopefully we will get it by the end of the year!
*That means that Dexter will not receive any funding for therapies. He will have no support to purchase any equipment. It's almost as though he has been forgotten about, because he is in the Under 7s group.
So much for early intervention!
Because his family value his walking, sitting, standing and rolling, they will continue to privately fund Dexter's physiotherapy sessions. They will ensure they provide him with as much home therapy as possible.
They will continue to work on home speech therapy and home occupational therapy.
Hopefully, the NDIS will come through for us before the end of the year!
But, for today... Dexter was a skeleton!
