I was born in May (and we're so happy about that!) but I was in hospital for four months after that. We found out that I had brain damage (which is the cause of my cerebral palsy) and so, so many days were bad for our family.
A year later, May brought us my vision impairment and my cancer diagnosis.
None of these are little things... baby panadol, a dummy and lots of cuddles would never have been enough to fix them.
May has brought bad news, fear, stress and tears.
So, we decided to run away from May!
We decided to create a new tradition and turn May into a time
of smiles, love and happiness!
We went to a 40th birthday, and surprised the birthday girl!
We thought of my great grandmother at Gundagai... she always loved the Dog on the Tucker Box.
Dad and the beautiful Erica.
Erica helped us so much when I was born!
Mum gave our friend Charlotte cuddles...
I tried to kiss her, but she was a little unsure!
I love my food! Thanks, Dad!
We had fun at the birthday!
Isn't it great to see the big smiles
on Mum and Dad's faces!
Going away and making happy 'May' memories was an excellent idea!
