I have been working on my nodding and head shaking for about a year. Shaking is easier than nodding. Sometimes, nodding my head forward is hard, but I can shake my head.. fast!
I often say 'No', but 'Yes' is still a little tricky.
Aunty Carol has called me Cheeky since I was born.
Recently, I have been telling her she cannot call me 'Cheeky'. She has asked me in a lot of different ways, but I was consistent... No more calling me Cheeky. I told her she had to call me Dexter.
And then, Mum did this! She filmed me saying it was ok for Aunty Carol to call me Cheeky.. And, she showed Aunty Carol!!
(The betrayal!)
They love asking me who I love. They ask me that a lot! Often, I say 'No'. That's fun! Usually, I say no with my head shaking. Today, when they asked whether I loved Aunty Carol, I said 'No' - with my words! (She said she was proud of my words!)
If people watch me closely enough and they give me enough time, they will see me giving my opinions. I need to be asked direct questions and I need time to make my head move in the right way, but I can answer.
In this video, you can see that I am excited about going to school! I have been so happy, the last couple of weeks. I am excited about Kindergarten!
