So if everything goes to plan, by tomorrow night I will be minus the right lobe of my liver after they cut the tumour out. (As long as I don't get sick over night and don't get a temperature when I get there like normal!)
Everything went to plan, and my awesome surgeon was able to cut the tumour out.
He was confident he had gotten all of the cancer and we loved him for that!
My recovery was pretty bad and I had to stay in hospital for a while.
I had another two rounds of chemotherapy and then, they said I was cancer clear!
It was during my cancer treatments that we really got to know our way around the Wollongong Hospital Children's Ward. The chemotherapy treatments were done in Sydney, but my weekly central line care and blood tests were done in Wollongong.
The hospital has helped me a lot.
And that's why we will spend this afternoon getting my wheelchair ready for tomorrow's Run Wollongong Day. It will be a lot of fun! We're letting the Noisy Sisters put colour in their hair and we will make me look cool and spunky, too.
Help us say Thank You to the Wollongong Hospital Children's Ward.
