Therapy and Botox have helped!
Today’s CEREBRAL PALSY AWARENESS MONTH challenge: Tie a knot in cooked spaghetti... with one hand... your non dominant hand.
Many people with cerebral palsy need great effort and energy to perform tasks like tying shoelaces, doing up buttons and using zippers.
Cerebral palsy can make it difficult to do things that need fine motor skills.
Dexter doesn’t have the muscle coordination to do these things.
Yet.
He does have more control over his hands... maybe because of the hours being helped with writing, cutting and playing at school.
Many people with cerebral palsy might need extra time to complete tasks.
Patience and time are important.
Independence is important.
😁💚
Dexter's cerebral palsy is quadriplegic and impacts every part of his body.
