This new medication is supposed to help relax my muscles. If it works, it will help my leg muscles relax... If my leg muscles are less tight, they might stop pulling my hip out of place.
(The tight muscles are pulling the bone away from the hip socket.)
This medication makes Mum and Dad sad, because they have been told it will effect all my muscle tone. That means, I will most likely have less strength in all my other muscles, including my stomach (so my sitting) and my swallowing (so my eating and drinking).
So tonight, when Mum gave the medicine to me, she told me she was sorry and that it was breaking her heart a little. She knows how hard I have been working, to get this strong. She knows how many hours of therapy go into developing my strength.
I know Mum and Dad are making some tough decisions, and are doing the best for me. So, I responded with a big belly laugh and cheeky grin! (Mum likes that.)
Fingers crossed that this medicine stops my legs from crossing over.
Fingers crossed it doesn't impact too much on my other muscles.
