‘I feel like it is a safe place to say what is on your mind and not have to explain everything to do with Dexter and his CP. I love that people share their stories – the good ones and the bad. I love that you can use language that is understood. Most of all, I love the connection with people that just get it,' said Lenice.Mandy Muller, Community Development Project Officer at Cerebral Palsy Alliance in Nowra, says the group offers participants a chance to meet and exchange knowledge with others and that can be sometimes what is needed.
‘I feel comforted seeing the other mums, knowing that they have survived and that they do it with a smile,’ said Lenice.
