The bags come from Vision Australia.
They have books in them...
and the books have braille text stuck to each page.
Mum reads me the books,
and she helps me to feel the bumpy braille bits with my fingers.
It's a bit tricky for me to feel the braille sometimes,
because of my cerebral palsy.
(It can cause my fingers to tighten up.)
Today, we read My Daddy is a Giant, by Carl Norac. Aunty Carol read with me, today. She used some funny voices. The second time we read the book... I was lying down.... I can't read braille yet... the same as two and a half year old boys can't read books, but... I can get used to those bumpy braille bits! Check out my cool name tag - with a spiky echidna for me to feel and my name written in braille! | My sister was very helpful when we unpacked the suitcase... Can you see the braille on these pages? ...but my sister kept sitting on the pages and eating the characters from the book! |
in to the orange bag and send it back to Vision Australia.
