Aunty Carol said Lenice would give the Hope Ceremony speech... without asking her first.
Mum's pretty gutsy, though, and is going to give it.
They're writing the speech tonight.
It'll be about ten minutes and will cover my diagnosis with hepatoblastoma, my surgeries and chemotherapy treatments. It will also cover Mum's pregnancy with my noisy sister.
Mum realised she was pregnant on the day my mass was detected.
The speech will also share Mum and Dad's journey as my cancer carer, and how that continues to this day. Cancer comes quickly to their minds.
And so, I'm sharing our fundraising link.
All money goes to the NSW Cancer Council. You just never know when cancer research will be your most important concern.
Donations are tax deductible.
Team Love Dexter will be in a rainbow of colours, because for me, we've always looked for the silver lining. Come do a lap, if you'd like.
