My occupational Therapist pushed me with my exercises again today. She's great... but I did whinge and grumble at her by the end of the hour. She made me keep trying, anyway. (But I know she really cares about me!) She's only met me a few times and already she calls me Cheeky!
She had me sitting for ages - without much support! She showed Mum more exercises we can do, so my hips don't end up giving me trouble when I'm older and she showed Mum some tricks to help me learn to stand up!
I did a great job! I'm getting much stronger and I'm really starting to believe
I can do it now!
Don't forget about Thursday. That's the "Meet Dexter day at Hindmarsh Park in Kiama. It's like a fundraiser - people are invited to "shout me a drink", but instead of buying the drink, they give me the money for Relay for Life!
There is a rumour that some media might be there too! Three different types! I hope some of them come along on Thursday!
Also, Team Love Dexter has $1830.00!
Wow! Thanks everyone!!
