I tried out a new wheelchair!
I've gotten too big for my current one and soon, it won't be safe for me to be in it. I need my wheelchair.
This is the new one we are hoping to get. Its pretty cool. Mum let me choose the colours for my new wheelchair.
See the man in the photo? He is our favourite equipment representative. He has been measuring me and trialling me in different pieces of equipment, pretty much from the start! He's watched me grow up!
Thankfully, Mum FINALLY had my NDIS meeting today! I won't be able to access my plan (or any funding) until I turn seven, but hopefully, my wheelchair will be approved in that plan. If so, I will be able to get my new wheelchair sooner than if we have to wait for funding to be approved through other avenues. That usually takes at least six months and it's my birthday is three weeks!
This wheelchair was quoted at $14,000. We can't afford to buy that, so we are pretty excited about accessing my funding plan.
