We are so lucky! The standing frame cost about $7,000.
I use the standing frame most days, for a couple of hour a day. It's good therapy for me.
It helps me with my bone density, my posture, my bowels and my vision. It also helps me to see the world from the same position as everyone else... instead of seeing the world from the floor or my wheelchair.
We had two beautiful people come to the house and film us. They made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. (Read the story here.)
Mum had had a busy day. She'd just gotten home, had no makeup on and her hair wasn't done...
But, she spoke beautifully.
She is so strong.
Mum spoke about me and how cheeky and determined I am. And, she spoke about my disabilities and my cancer. And then, she spoke about how important it is for me to access the standing frame.
I'm so proud of her.
(We all tease her about the faces we pull, but we wouldn't be able to speak as well as she does!)
