Cerebral Palsy
Beach Wheelchairs are great.
There are many of them, at our beaches... sitting in sheds and rarely being used. If people knew more about them, they might get used more, often. So, we compiled a list of beach wheelchairs for public use in Australia. - Find them here.
Let's get them out of the sheds, and on to the beaches!

Want to buy your own beach wheelchair? Want your local council to buy one? Yabby Industries sells both sandcruisers and the smaller sandpipers. Businesses can purchase these, add their company logo and donate them to local councils. And, if you have a beach wheelchair, and need to know how to repair a tyre, the Yabby Industries website has an excellent video, to teach you how.

Future Footprints - Conductive Education
We were able to provide Dexter with four weeks of Conductive Education therapy at Future Footprints. Future Footprints, in Adelaide, aims to teach those with Cerebral Palsy and other physical disabilities through Conductive education, to reach beyond what is expected; motivating them to improve, to achieve and to gain independence, socially, physically and cognitively. Future Footprints is an Approved Better Start Provider in Australia. CE teaches participants skills to meet the challenges of everyday life. They need to be active in this process, not just passively ‘receiving’, but more ‘working’ to achieve. Conductive Education focuses on the skills needed to become more independent.
