Thanks For the Help!
We have been stunned by the number of people who have wanted to help us!
We are just a 'normal family', who are doing the best we can.
It just happens that our family has been dealt a few really hard knocks!
For the thoughts, the well wishes, the hospital care packages, the support of our Relay for Life team, for becoming a Dexter's Mate on the People's Truck, for the cash and for the smiles....
To each and every person: Thank You!
Any money kindly donated to Dexter will be used for Dexter.
We keep the money until we can afford one of the bigger priced pieces of equipment Dexter needs.
When we purchase equipment, we explain what money was used. See more here.

The more therapy I get, the more independent I will be in adulthood.
Early intervention is important!
My days are filled with exercises and stretches, which Mum makes me do.
I see a physiotherapist. (Read more about Zoe here, we love her!)
I've started having massages.
I have devices to help me learn to sit, to crawl, to stand, to swim, to eat and soon... to walk!
Our biggest dream is that I will walk independently!
Currently, my physiotherapy costs over $140 an hour.
If we had enough money, I'd have therapy with my physiotherapist every week day!
Most weekends, Mum and Dad take me to the pool and do some hydrotherapy with me.
I need speech therapy and occupational therapy, too.
Therapy is expensive.
In June/July 2014, Dexter will have conductive therapy in Adelaide. Including travel and accommodation costs, we are looking at paying at least $7,000 for a five week therapy session.
One day, we will most likely look into the therasuit - which may involve time in America and will be something we will have to save for! Hopefully, the therasuit will become more accessible in Australia and we can have treatment here!

Our Two biggest dreams right now...
A modified house and a modified van
A modified house and a modified van
If we had about $400,000 we would knock down our home and rebuild it. It would be more open living in design, cutting out the corners and widening the doorways and hallways for Dexter. It would be amazing, but is not something we can afford, right now.
As Dexter gets bigger, his equipment gets bigger.
He needs more space.
And, soon he will need a modified van. We'd need about $40,000 for the cheaper versions, and this will have to be a priority for us. Our current family car is getting very tired.
