I'm still a bit sick, but I'm still ok to be at home.
I think its really funny to wake up nice and early on a Sunday morning! If I make enough noise, Mum and Dad let me join them in their huge bed, and I really like that!
I'm still a bit sick, but I'm still ok to be at home. This is an old photo. Mum was squishing all of my tummy together, making me look very fat. It's lucky I had such a big tummy, because I am still feeling a bit sick. I have lost a little bit of weight... mostly from my tummy. When I am not feeling sick, I like to make everyone smile by giving them my cheeky grin. I had to give mum cuddles in the middle of the night because she doesn't like thunder! I thought the lightning was great and stayed awake for the whole storm! But, that meant I was tired and sick today! I spent the morning with aunty Carol and was cheeky and did lots of walking for her (I won't do it for mum!). I like to open my fingers to feel her spiky hair. Then I got my blood tested. My platelets are low and I'm still feeling yuck. I'll be back to the hospital on Monday for more tests and probably transfusions. I was very cheeky this morning, giving mum lots of kisses - now I'm not toxic. But since then I've been throwing up lots of mucus, its gross... This is me in my standing support frame. I am wearing my new AFO (ankle foot orthotics or something like that!) Watch my legs gets stronger now! Oh no! I broke both my legs! (Tricked You! I didn't really!) I got fitted for my first sort of AFOs. They will help me when I'm standing in my standing frame. They will keep my ankles strong. Mum, dad and I have been resting after my last round of chemotherapy. I'm feeling pretty good, but every now and then... I feel a bit sick. I am such a good boy though - I hardly even complain. I am liking soft food at the moment, because I have sores in my throat. I'm liking being outside, in the spring weather... listening to the wind in the trees and the birds in the yard. Because I lost weight between round 3 and 4 of my chemotherapy, mum is trying to fatten me up again - I do like chocolate! (And its great chewing practice!) I love it when the chocolate gets stuck to the top of my mouth and I can suck it all away. I like chocolate! |
