People who are training to be doctors have to review me and investigate my history. They are tested on how much information they can get about me.
Mum is not allowed to help them. She has told so, so many doctors my medical history, that she knows it all 'of-by-heart'; including the real medical terms.
It's weird for her to not say any of it, unless she is asked.
I’m what they call a ‘long case’... I’m not sure why they classify me at that!
(Maybe it's because my medical history is so long and complex!)
I have a lot of scars, now; from hip surgeries, hernia surgeries, groin surgery and my hepatoblastoma surgery. I also have scars from the surgical drains and my chemotherapy central lines.
My vision impairment complicates things, for the training doctors and it is weird for them, when I cannot use words to answer their questions.
My severe quadriplegic cerebral palsy makes it difficult for them to move my arms and legs easily, which makes it even harder for them!
My chronic lung condition, they can't easily see. And, most don't know I was a very sick baby and spent four months in three NICUs.
Some of the doctors do really well.
Some of them miss a few things.
We hope they all do well! They might see me for real, one day, in the hospital.
