He was given to me when I was in Sydney's NICU.
He was bigger than me back then! Remember this?
His contrasting colours are good for me. His smaller wrists and ankles give me something to grab on to.
Somehow, it became a ritual for Hamish to join me on my hospital visits.
Every hospital visit.
Well, except for the time I was helicoptered to Sydney! We ended up in the Emergency Room with no notice. We had been at the shops... and then, I got sick!
That day, there was no Hamish, so I borrowed a green giraffe the Noisy One had brought. Hamish was with me the next morning.
I throw him from the bed at night.
But... every time my hospital bag gets packed... Hamish is there.
I think it's more for the grown ups than for me, but... I do like knowing he is there.
