I was so little back then!
While this was my first night to sleep in the Ronny Mac House (Ronald McDonald House Randwick), it wasn't the first time for Mum and Dad!
They used to take turns - one sleeping here and one sleeping with me, on the ward.
Mum was pregnant at the time and had to be very careful not to get in contact with my body fluids, which were toxic. That made kisses tricky!
We are so grateful to my paediatrician; who found the tumor, my oncologists; who individualised my treatments to save my hearing, my surgeon who cut out my tumour and my nurses who cared for me.
We got lucky and we will never forget that.
