This is one of my school friends, helping me look at different textures! She already knows to hold the star close, where I can focus on it. She knows I have a vision impairment, but that I am not blind. She already knows patience and empathy, waiting for me to catch sight of it. She already knows about inclusion and is already adapting things, to make sure I have fun, too.
This photo was in my communication book.
I have some really special friends at school.
They help me a lot, and I love playing with them!
When Mum arrived at preschool, this afternoon, we were running relays. The kids were running, and they were pushing me, in my chair. I had the baton on my chair, between my legs.
I wasn't sitting on the sidelines... I was in the race... and, the people pushing my chair? Not the grown ups! It was the kids.
We love my preschool. #inclusion
