We thought I would be in hospital until at least the weekend,
so it was a big surprise to find us heading home after just one night in hospital!
I didn't even end up the the ICU!
They told me that I can spend an hour on my tummy each day,
but that I need to have pillows under my knees and chest...
Mum tried to make sure there were pillows under me...
She tried to make sure I was comfortable,
just like the information pamphlet suggested...
But, I've already learnt to get away from the pillows and the rolled up towels!
I'm pretty proud of myself!
so I have a little padding under me.
My pram has been modified, with an extra board
and a few pieces of foam were added, to support my legs.
We've got a box to support my legs in the car.
I had to change my high chair, and some adaptations
were made to better support me.
Mum and Dad are getting better at carrying me around.
It's a bit awkward, but they will get good at it soon.
The hardest thing, is having to have time on my back...
I try so hard to roll over, but with the 'broom stick', I can't roll!
So far, my sister has been pretty good and has left the stick alone!
I do like the noise my fingers make, when I scratch the plaster.
No one has written on the casts, yet!
(But, Aunty Carol painted my toe nails today!)
(Information about the Hip Adduction operation is here.
We wrote this a while ago.)
