Like it, or hate it, the Ice Bucket Challenge has raised significant funds, and has gotten people talking about Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
This is from the Motor Neurone Disease Australia website:
Since the inaugural Ice Bucket Challenge in Australia three weeks ago,
over 38,000 new supporters have donated more than $1.5 million
to MND Australia and state MND associations.
That's incredible!
From the One Fitness 24/7 Ice Bucket Challenge, for Dexter:

We've heard about a similar challenge...
Another fundraising challenge, and a challenge to get the world talking.
This challenge... is for cerebral palsy.
It's called: Whipping CP's Butt - One Pie At A Time.
The idea with this challenge:
You have to throw a pie in your face, along with donating $10. And, if you don't do the challenge within 24 hours, you have to donate $100...
For Dexter, we want to raise awareness of cerebral palsy.
We want people to see past his disability. We want people to see him.
We want people to know that he is clever and cheeky and determined and loving and patient and good. (And... sometimes, a bit naughty.)
He is also trapped in a body that doesn't work... a cerebral palsy body.
You can talk to Dexter, and play with him... it's just that, sometimes, you have to look a little closer, and be a little more patient, to see his response.
Even though he is not running though the house, screaming and chasing dinosaurs, he is a typical little three year old boy... a boy stuck with cerebral palsy.
So, if throwing pies helps people understand Dexter... we're in!
If throwing pies and hashtagging #whippingcpsbutt helps get people talking about cerebral palsy... its a great thing.
There's a facebook page, where you can see many videos, and become inspired to make some pies up...
And, there is a twitter page.
Starting in Canada, they are directing funds to Reaching for the Stars ('A foundation of hope for children with cerebral palsy'.)
I guess the Australian version would be the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.
Ashton Kutcher (You know his twin brother, Michael) has cerebral palsy, and he took the pie challenge. He's a big part of the Reaching for the Stars Foundation.
You up for it?
We'd love to see a photo/video, if you do the Pie Challenge!
