I've been laughing again and went to bed nicely for dad tonight, without playing for too long! I didn't sleep all day, so I was a bit tired.
This is my newest scar, it looks pretty cool and is healing nicely.
I've been laughing again and went to bed nicely for dad tonight, without playing for too long! I didn't sleep all day, so I was a bit tired. I thought it was so much fun playing until 10.30 last night! And then thought it would be great to crack it at 4.30 this morning! I like throwing tantrums now, when I don't get my own way! And, I'm so cute, surely I'll keep getting away with it.... Last November, Mum took me to sit on the roadside. Really! We went to watch the i98 Camp Quality Convoy. 2012 will be the 8th Convoy. It's really amazing. The people of the Illawarra spend the day filling the footpaths as truck after truck after truck after truck joins the Convoy... moving down the mountain and stopping at Croome Road... where people party all afternoon! People throw money into buckets for Camp Quality... For kids with cancer... For kids like me. The trucks horns blast all day and it feels so amazing to be a part of something so incredible. One of my friends owns the People's Truck. The People's Truck (a B-Double) is donated each year by McMahons Transport. The people of the Illawarra can pay $20 for their name to be put on the truck. For $100, you can have your company name on the truck - or, $300 will get your logo on the truck. The names and logos stay on the truck all year! The truck travels all over, so lots of people will see it. The People's Truck will bid, using the donations... (the money for names and logos to be put on the truck). If there are enough names on the truck, the truck will be able to bid for the lead position in the Convoy! Last year, the People's Truck raised $43,276.20! Such an amazing idea - to help kids with cancer. Kids like me. Thanks, McMahons Transport! I'm starting to feel better and I'm even enjoying sitting up again! I am feeling so much better now. I even did my European kisses and smiled all afternoon. My friend, Julie, is watching out for me. She knew Aunty Carol would forgot the ice cream cake she promised me! Luckily, everyone remembered the Fredo Frog promise, but... the promised Fredo had already been eaten! So, aunty Terese gave me a tim tam instead - after I'd eaten some banana custard and a fruit jelly dessert! (After I finished eating the tim tam, Aunty Terese licked her fingers - now that's love!) Dear Dexter, I promised you an ice-cream cake when you were in hospital... and, I forgot! I am so very sorry. But, woohoo! I remember now (Thanks, Julie - we'll have a piece for you!) I have your ice-cream cake Little Man - and you can have as much as you like (or as much as Mum and Dad will allow!) Happy Home-coming! Aunty Carol PS: A Freddo frog was substituted for a tim tam this afternoon... and he enjoyed it very much! One cheeky boy for sale! We all slept better with him IN hospital! And, he has just wanted cuddles all day... Good excuse to sit and do nothing really! (Dexter was still a little sore yesterday... but, by this afternoon, he was smiling, loving our noisy voices and dishing out kisses. Our Little Man is back!) Dexter's sleeping in his own bed tonight - for the first time in about ten days! (well, he started in his own bed, anyway. He may spend most of the night snuggled between his Mum and Dad - and who could blame him!)
He was filthy this afternoon... there's no other word for it... but, he had a bath this evening! It was his first in about ten days and must have felt fantastic. Dexter is still sore. He forgets for a while and then he moves, and he remembers the pain. Hopefully, the pain will quickly ease off and he will enjoy cuddles again. Until then, we will cuddle him gently... His torso is a mess - bandages, tubes, cords, tapes and scars. No baby's belly should look like his does. His cheeks are fine though - so I've been cheek-punching him a lot! (I promise - he loves it!) When I visited, he grumbled at me... I'm not sure whether he was complaining about his pain, complaining about his surgery, or complaining about my extended absence. Dexter is home. C Enough said! (We are just waiting on scripts and follow up appointments and we will be out of here!) |
