Think back to every birthday, Christmas and Mother’s Day/Father’s Day.
Think of all the cards; hand-made and scribbled on with love.
Remember each scrawled ‘I love you’.
Remember each time little footsteps ran to you, and remember the arms that were flung around your neck.
Remember the first time your baby said ‘I love you’… and the next time, and every time.
Many people with cerebral palsy cannot speak. They may never say I love you. Many won’t throw their arms around a parent’s neck. They can’t.
Imagine the heartbreak if this was taken from you… if you knew your child might never be able to do these simple things.
Some days, cerebral palsy breaks your heart.
