It was fun in the water... but, it was a bit cold.
We had a lot of fun!
Mum and Dad took us to the beach almost every day. It was fun in the water... but, it was a bit cold. We had a lot of fun! My sister loved playing in the little waves. After our swims, we were a bit cold and needed cuddles to warm up. One afternoon, we even went to the swimming pool!
When you go on holidays, you have more time for 'photo shoots'.
Here are some more photos of my cheeky little sister... Even going on holidays, I had to do my stretches and exercises. We really are seeing progress from my wearing the theratogs suit. Because of my cerebral palsy, it is important that my body always does some work... or I might forget things. It was very strange walking in my walker with no shoes on. And, I was walking inside, not on my footpath... And, I was walking on smooth floorboards. Each time I got across the room, someone would lift me and carry my walker and I back to the starting place again! I was really lucky.
Lots of kids with cerebral palsy have trouble traveling long distances in a car. Their muscles get very tight and sore and they cry. It gets so bad, they have to get out of their chairs and lie down for a while. I was lucky. I got a bit sore at the end of the journey, but mostly, I was ok. When we stopped, Mum and Dad made sure I had some time to lie down and stretch my muscles. We went back to watch the cane (which we watched burn) being harvested. We had a lot of fun on our holiday! We went to Mum's home town. On the first night, Mum and Dad left me with my Nanoo and went to watch a cane fire. They went for a ride on the back of a ute, to get a better view. They had so much fun! Thanks, Doug. The crackling sounds were amazing! The heat was incredible! They couldn't help but feel happy! Watching the cane fire reminded Mum of her childhood.
These are my two favourite girls... Mum and my sister She's a cheeky one, my sister! And, we love her so much!
We had a great time away with the family up North.
We love that in small towns, it's so easy to catch up with old friends that you randomly run into! Here's hoping for warm weather continuing and sleep patterns returning! A friend of mine on twitter 'changed' my shirt last night!
I didn't want to sleep while the grand final was being played between Dad's Eagles and Pokky's Roosters. In bed, I played and played and played so Mum and Dad let me get up to watch the game. I loved the excitement and made a lot of noise when a team scored a try. We posted a photo on twitter because some of my twitter friends said I should be allowed to watch the game. One of my friends got the photo and made it better! She game me a Manly 2013 Premiers shirt! But, when Manly didn't win, she changed it, so I could have a Roosters 2013 Premiers shirt. Dad was sad, but Pokky was happy. My sister is getting bigger and bigger... She is starting to climb on me and squish me. There is a big football game on today... the grandfinal game between the Manly Sea Eagles and the Sydney City Roosters. Dad loves the Eagles, so he has been wearing a Manly shirt today. He let me try it on, too. Pokky has always been a Roosters fan, so he let me wear his Roosters shirt, too. I wonder who will win? I will try to stay up so I can watch the game, but I think Mum and Dad will make me go to bed! Dad thinks the Manly shirt makes me walk faster in my walker. Even Charlotte tried on the shirt! I hope its a good game! Good luck, everyone!
