Because all registration fee money goes to the Wollongong Hospital Children's Ward.
I've spent more time at this hospital than most people my age, so we want to do something to 'give back'. We've been there enough that we got to know some of the lovely nurses and doctors. We have learned what often happens and what tests I will be given. We know my veins are ruined, from my premature birth and my many, many blood tests. and that makes it very difficult to get a cannula in. We know this often makes me cry until I lose my voice. We have been scared at the Wollongong Hospital and we have stayed for days and days and days and days, until we were used to sleeping on the chairs. We always love the moment we are allowed to leave, but we have been very lucky with the care and treatment I have received from the Wollongong Hospital Children's Ward.
So, lets give a little back. #RunWollonngong
