Challenge: Wear two different shoes, one on each foot. One of the shoes should have a higher heel than the other.
Try to go to the shops or walk up and down some stairs, wearing the different shoes.
Often, people with cerebral palsy have to spend a lot of energy, just to do the things most people do without thinking.
Dexter's femoral osteotomy left him with one leg two centimetres shorter than the other. Dexter needs a wedge added to the bottom of one shoe... each time he gets new shoes.
