Remember the Creative Performance Evening by those with a Disability?
Here are some photos from that night.
This was my very first appearance on the dancing stage. I needed Mum to help me dance, but it was fun. The music was loud and happy and my Music Maker friends were all around me. I even got to hold hands with the beautiful Nat. xx
I was a bit naughty, because I didn't go to all the rehearsals.
The Music Makers rehearse every Friday, learning songs and dances.
all have a disability. Some of them have difficulty doing what most people do.
Some of them know the dance steps and dance with great enthusiasm on stage, and some need some help to remember where to stand and which actions to do.
That was my costume for the dance. I rock pink shirts!
Thanks to Melissa and Nicole and all of the amazing people who are part of the Music Makers family. You make our hearts smile. xxx
and the Music Makers raised over $12,000 for The Disability Trust!
My sister was there when we rehearsed. She didn't like it when Mum and I went up on the stage. She couldn't see us, and she got very scared. She cried, so Melissa would pick her up while trying to dance, then put her down... and she would scream again! So, Melissa's Nanna held her and then she was happy and smiling! She's so cheeky! |
