Mum found this in my communication book:
'Several times, we told Dexter it was time to listen. We even told him, a few times, that his name would be put on the board, if he didn't stop talking. He was still very vocal. So, we used his communication PODD. This is what Dexter said: 'I like this', 'it's good', I'm clever', and 'I'm being funny'!
Once his message was told, he settled down.
I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for him, to have things to say, but not be understood.
I'm so proud he is learning to voice his thoughts and opinions through his communication PODD.
I love that he knows he is clever.
