But, there has not been much time.
Mum has been very busy on the phone, having interviews, and arranging interviews, and getting back to the wonderful people who are asking how they can help us with our Mate's Rates Renovation idea: 'Doing it for Dexter'.
Did you see the Mail On-Line article about me? (See it here)
Some of my friends seemed to feel a bit sad, or angry, that I was called the Unluckiest Baby in Australia. This is just because I was a Friday the thirteenth baby, and so many bad things have happened to me. They didn't mean to say Mum and Dad were unlucky to have me. They writer thinks I am one tough little dude. And, we all know how much love I am wrapped in, and I know how much you all love and care for me. xxx
Mum also had an appointment with the doctor - for her and my tiniest sister. So far, everything is still going well. We do know how many things can go wrong, so we worry some times, but... my tiniest sister is a big mover, so that helps Mum know she is ok.
I was back at pre-school, on Monday.
Mum and Dad were afraid I might be put in corner, and left there. They thought the other kids might think I was a bit weird, because I didn't run around and talk with them.
But, Mum and Dad know I have an excellent time at pre-school. They know I am looked after, and they hear that the other kids are talking to me, and playing some games with me. There is one teacher there, who spends most of the time with me. We have a communication book, where we can write about what has been happening...
The teacher doesn't know about my blog, we don't think, and we didn't ask her permission to write this... but, this is what she wrote in my communication book, this week. After reading it, you will know how well I am being treated, and how lucky I am to be going to this pre-school.
Dexter taught us so much about himself, today!
I was so excited to see him sit and stand with Zoe. He was very proud of himself. Dex is biting on the left and side of his head rest very often - is this new?
He's also not keen on drinking. In week one, I noticed his awesome suck strength, but did not see it today.
Dexter is teaching me lots of his cues, including trying super hard to use words - particularly 'more'!
He is such a cheeky, fun boy and I love having little jokes with him, such as stirring him up, and he's been giving me awesome smiles back!!
I did love it, when my Zoe came to my pre-school!
Even hearing her name makes me smile. I was so excited to show off to Zoe how clever I am getting, and I loved being able to show my new friends how hard I try, when I am doing my physical therapy.
It's lucky Zoe came out to my pre-school. Someone had told them I should only be on the ground for about 15 - 20 minutes. Imagine! I would have been stuck in my chair, all day! That would not have been fun!
I have been a bit naughty with my drinking. Mum gets worried, sometimes.. and she is right... I went to hospital once, because of drinking/pooing problems.
We will still post on this blog, while we are writing the Doing it for Dexter blog posts. Did you hear? Lots of people are coming together to help make my house better! They are being so beautiful!
When Mum and Dad see my new house, they will cry... they will be so happy and over-whelmed. You know, they are so very, very, very grateful.
After my new house is finished, we're going to have a big party!
But, Mum said I can't get excited about the party, yet...
And! Mum is talking to some magazine people... You might find me in a magazine! That would be pretty cool!
The Doing it for Dexter blog is on my website, too. You can find it here.
Today, I have appointments, all day, at Sydney Kids Hospital, in Randwick.
Its appointments about my cerebral palsy.
These are long, tiring, emotional days for Mum and Dad.
Sloppy kisses, everyone! xxx
