Thanks for sticking with us!

Bathing me (on the floor, with a dish of soapy water and a face washer) takes two people, because I need to be rolled and held in position, so my back can be washed.
While I can tolerate being lifted by one person, once a day, it hurts me too much and I need two people to lift me. Besides, the brace and my height make single lifts too difficult; the bending and lifting and the carrying will hurt Mum and Dad's backs if they try to lift me on their own.
I have to be lifted in to bed, out of bed, into the wheelchair and on to the floor. I have to be lifted in to and out of the car.
I need Dad.
And, while he is here with me, helping to care for me, he plays.
These are videos of us playing Pop the Pig. Sometimes, it is difficult for my muscles to let go of something I am holding. That's because of my cerebral palsy. My sister's are patient, while they wait for their turn. Dad turns it into a game, when I have trouble letting go.
You can even hear him sing!
You might even get to hear me chuckle in the second video!
(I'm a bit stubborn that way!)
This day, she filmed me and then, she let me watch it back. It's fun watching yourself on video.
**Non verbal does not mean quiet!
I have spent a lot of this summer lying on my back, because of my double femoral osteotomy and hip re-shaping. I have a rack of fun things to play with. I have a slinky, which I love! I play with it all day. I pull it and hit it. I wrap my arm up inside it. It's so fun!
And then, Mum turned on the camera - to catch me playing.
I resisted every urge to play! I waited until she turned off the camera before I started playing again!
This is a quick one...
