After my time in the NICUs, my surgeries, my resuscitations, the daily challenges with my quadriplegic cerebral palsy and the frustration that comes with me being non-verbal, we think it's important to talk about mental health.
In the last five years, we have faced some incredible struggles and challenges. We've made decisions that broke our hearts and we have faced death.
The last five years have been difficult.
Mum has spoken to a couple of people. The last professional was so upset at my story, she started to sob. So, Mum stopped going to see her.
Now, Mum and Dad make sure they talk to each other. They continue to support each other. They explain things to me and my sisters, to make sure we're not worrying.
There are still triggers that bring back their PTSD symptoms and our bad days are really bad, but we're getting stronger.
There should be no shame in seeking help and speaking to people who can help. There should be no shame in asking for help. Those are signs of strength.

Are you guys ok?
We chose to look for silver linings and to chase the rainbows. We chose to try to stay positive and to find a way, no matter what.
This is an incredible atmosphere for a boy and his sisters to grow up in.
